Cellphone Policy

Welby Community School of the Arts Cell Phone Policy

Cell phone use at Welby is prohibited anywhere on school grounds during school hours. Students have the option to turn in their cell phone every morning to be locked up by the classroom teacher or to leave it in their backpack out of sight for the day. In the event a student needs a phone every classroom and office space has a landline to use if needed.

  • First offense - The device will be kept in the main office until the end of the school day and the student will review the cell phone policy with administration.
  • Second offense - The device will be kept in the main office until the end of the school day. The cell phone must be picked up by the parent/guardian to review the cell phone policy with administration.
  • Third offense – The student must turn in their cell phone to the main office each morning and check it in and out daily.
